Arequipa, Peru travel photo memories. Hop on that tourist bus and let’s get a sneak peak of the city of Arequipa in Southern Peru.
The busses we hopped on looked weren’t fancy like one in the photo to the left – but more akin to what’s referred to as ‘public transport’ and had loads of locals, not tourists onboard 🙂
Arequipa is a brilliant place to hang-out before climbing El Misti or heading to trek in the Colca Canyon; it takes only three hours to reach Chivay, Peru from the main bus station.
Get some shopping done at one of the shopping malls, wander the Plaza de Armas which is one of the lovliest central squares in South America or take a tour of still functioning Santa Catalina Monastery.
